"Let my shape emerge from me, don't let it be imposed on me."
Witold Gombrowicz

The creating energy that penetrates everything makes the subjects and objects act in different ways; from submitting to its power, through the process of experiencing and destroying the present, up to the creation of the new. Each separate I, surrounded by other I units, is trying to make these actions and relationships sensible. It leads them to the beauty, order and independence or, on the contrary, to the ugliness, chaos and limitation.
In "plepleJAdy", just like in Gombrowicz's works, biographical and philosophical stylisations appear next to lyrical and dramatic scenes as well as absurd jokes and all these elements are equally important in the performance.

reviews:
Something that one can not miss in the „plepleJAdy" is a master quality of the dance of the performers and unbelievable choreographic invention of Hanna Strzemiecka. It's amazing how she can still surprise us with new solutions. Her ideas are the pearls of „plepleJAdy".

It turned out very interesting how Gombrowicz's works and philosophy was implemented into this performance. A spectator can find in "plepleJAdy" Gombrowicz's idea of the FORM and many absurd situations.... The Creation is unbelievably perfect.
Ewa Dziedzic „Dziennik Wschodni" (Poland)

„plepleJAdy" is not a simple adaptation of Gombrowicz's works - it is rather an intentionally disordered (like in "Dzienniki") notation of the choreographer's impressions and associations with Gombrowicz's novels. At the same time the choreographer leaves an open gate for the spectators to enter with their own ideas.... One is able to see associations with "Ferdydurke", another one with "The Wedding", but for me "plepleJAdy" is the most matching with "Cosmos" - in the both pieces the idea of searching for person's own and original individuality in the chaos around seems to be the most significant.
